I think it is very likely to be about the new three mile priority area and the amazing vagueness around it.
Are round two candidates really going to be allowed to move into the priority area at the last minute and secure a place over a very strong Band A candidate who does not live in the priority area?
Is a Band C candidate in the priority area really going to be able to knock out a top band A candidate outside the priority area?
Is there anything to stop a family renting a room in the priority area but still living in another house elsewhere not in the priority area?
DAO and Watford boys had terrible trouble with this until they brought in a rule prohibiting those in the priority are from owning another house within 60 miles.
HBS has not included any rules about how long you have been living there and if you have another property elsewhere.
They don't seem to have taken any advice from other schools who have been operating distance catchments for sometime and have experienced the pitfalls.
This is HBS's first foray into catchment and there are lots of questions that have been left unanswered. DG
