The waiting list has moved two more places to 17.

Can anyone tell us if it is on 229 yet or is it still on 230? DG

My son is in mid 60 ...I think there is no hope left.

I know. Mine is at mid 40's, having scored 228. This lengthy period of uncertainty is unnerving... I don't think we can wait until September for the odd chance at an offer.

It is not going to get to the mid 40s. It is currently on 19 after 15 weeks. It will not go another 25 odd places in the 9 weeks before the start of term.

You need to focus on the school you have and make sure you sign up for the in year exams for any spaces that might appear during the year.

They run in year exams for any spaces in Y8 and Y9 every year. I know several students who has got one of these spaces. DG

Because QE have 5 Uniform appointments for everyone who is joining school, so that's where they are finding out that pupil who don't turn up are not going to join school. But please don't expect WL to move a lot this year.I believe they had 5 or 6 days for uniform appointments and 2 more days are left.

Uniform appointments would certainly be an innovative way to find who's joining or not. No one would be buying kits for 2 schools. I hope QE will soon contact few more eager parents.
