Hi Just the last few weeks before DD’s test now. We did SD 35 types and the 21 GL last year and have been using Bond Speed Up books over the month or two. Scores are good but she tends to run short of time so misses out on marks under timed conditions. Speed has improved a lot but we need to get a bit faster to get a score in the “safe zone”. Vocabulary is an ongoing issue which we will work on, but any tips for increasing speed on other question types? Thanks

Look specifically at question types she is slower at and work in those, but keep in mind some VR questions take seconds and others will alway need longer. Help her develop techniques for doing the slower ones quicker.

Thank you! Yesterday I had a go at doing a paper alongside her. It was really interesting how our speeds varied on different questions and gave us good discussion points on how to tackle the different types...
