I have only just found this forum and I have a strong suspicion that it is going to feed my neurosis concerning 'have we got a place at Tiffins'. Musn't let my hubby know I chat here. Does anyone know how many extra points we get for being an August born?

My child is an August born too and we are waiting for results on 1st March. It varies from year to year as to how many points they get so no-one can say. Factors including difficulty of exam, overall standard of applicants and numbers of each age group (month). One thing is for certain August borns will get the maximum extra points whether it's 1 or 10. Statistically winter born children score higher in their raw score. If you have a borderline child it's better if they are born in August rather than September, not sure if it makes much difference to the very bright children.
