Hi

Would anyone have information on the level of difficulty for the round one entrance tests? HBS website suggests that it should not be too challenging. But noting that 3,000 candidates are whittled down to 300 for round 2, I suspect the papers might still be quit challenging and possibly more difficult than the Berkshire test?

Thanks

Doesn't really matter how difficult the test is, but how good the other students are. To get to the 2nd round you need to be within the top 10% of applicants.

You also need to have a crystal ball to see how many of the other 300, assuming one's DD does get through, will be within one of the categories with a higher priority than a girl living in catchment for Kendrick? (Or even somewhere convenient for whichever Slough schoo(s) don't yet have a catchment, if they are being included in 'Berkshire'?).

90% of applicants do not pass the first round.

The score to pass goes to two decimal points.

Three different formats are being tested.

Getting to the second round requires a lot of focus.

It is unlikely that any candidate who just fancied having a go and has not done a lot of preparation will find themselves in the second round.

Every dd applying really needs to have a good plan B. DG
