Just curious as my DD sat the CEM test in gloucestershire this weekend, do different areas use the same test or does each area have it's own variation :D

Some areas share - Slough, Gloucestershire & Essex do I'm pretty sure.

In Essex, specifically Chelmsford County High. The Redbridge grammar schools also use the same exam.

If you are intending to apply in any of the other areas, you have to have registered your DC in each of the ones you are interested in, but state that s/he is sitting the exam at whichever of the others for which they are registered.

Thanks both, was just curious have no intentions of moving. I'm just glad we live in an area where there is only one test to take :)
