Good point re them not checking, I wish they would! Passports gave up titles ages ago

From a fraud point of view suspect it is rather better if they had full first names rather than initials, but then with contactless / swipe no-one ever looks at the cards these days

PS washing mountain still not diminishing, suspect it is being added to. Duvet cover lost in May 2016 just found.

Did you find a dozen odd socks hiding inside by any chance?

Birthday presents this year were duvet covers and mattress cover - same as last year. Only this year they are for a double bed in a student house whereas last year they were for the single one in halls. I still have the duvet cover my Mum bought me in Habitat before I started university in 1982! I don't use it any more but it is a reminder of how trendy I felt back then!

Off to Nottingham to view the university accommodation and campus ( see what I'm paying 7k+ for  ) with DD and OH in tow , DS driving, crammed into his two door fiesta so OH and I can have a drink and argue all the way home

Doing the tourist bit also the Castle , museums, art galleries..... . The weather not looking so good but at least we will able to view his luxury pad and decide what we really need and avoid wasting money on unnecessary extras.

Will report back later

If you pick this up today catseye...
The campus is beautiful. If the weather isn't too wet it's worth a stroll. Also work checking out routes for him to supermarkets etc and maybe leave the car near uni and tram in to city so he gets a feel for it.

If you need accommodation for visits ( don't know how close you are) the campus de vere isn't bad and if you book in advance ( or last minute if availability) you can get double with breakfast for £65. Wouldn't recommend restaurant tho.

Check if she needs to take her own shower curtain - we did.
Also, nowhere for toiletries so we got a basket type thing that hangs in shower.
Also a plastic (camping) clothes dryer - hook on the top and peg like things around. Very small & light. For hanging bras and tights in shower after hand washing . You can also get lines with suction pads at each end.
En suite didn't dry out so something to hang towel on in bedroom so it's not still damp the next day....
Loo brush ( none provided for DC).
Loo roll!!
Tiny bathroom bin or bin with lid for bedroom.

Thanks for the tip - had a check she does need a shower curtain, cheap but cheerful will do
Loo brush and bleach bought, however as to them being used!!
Didn't think about a washing line that can be suctioned to the tiles :) great hint. Item bought. Thanks. :D

Blame me when the budget is blown :)
If you are unsure about toilet cleaning regularity then a loo block is an option!

Knackered wandering around the Jubilee Campus -stunning and very modern, halls/room not overly impressed for the money :|

The Castles and "endless" cave tour ( worse than going around IkEA )very interesting in terms of history - The Life Museum very good , didn't have time to do the art museums- the City like any city , same shops . same old, same old as with any place in UK or Europe.

But DS looking forward to late September.

btw undergraduates can have allotted/permit car spaces at Broadgates for approx £250 per year.
