The 2020 A levels will be very interesting.
I suspect state school children who sat the new GCSEs in 2018 will do better at A level as the reformed GCSEs will have prepared them better for A level.
I for one am really glad about coursework being phased out.
My DS only did one subject ( music) which involved coursework. For him that was the most onerous part of the whole GCSE process.

My DD did music and art.
Huge amounts of coursework - very glad to see the back of both of them
