Post subject:  binary questions in the math section of 11+ papers

I am just curious, and I wondered if anyone could help?

A friend's child sat a mock 11+ paper a wee while ago, and she said he came out of the exam afterwards and said there was a question about binary numbers, and what were they?

I was interested, as I vaguely remember learning about (well, being slightly baffled by) binary numbers in about y10, doing O'level Computer Studies. My older two went through different grammar tests, and never came up against this explicitly. I don't think they covered it in their Y5/Y6 maths lessons - I just wondered if anyone could point me to some other questions, and I'll pass the info on to my friend.

Thanks so much.

I’ve seen them used in NVR but more as patterns so no deep understanding of binary required.

Was this a CEM Bexley mock or Olaves mock?
