Hi
Just checking exam format for Habs girls and NLCS. Their websites state that exam comprises of English and Math paper.
Do they test VR/NVR in any way? I have noticed Habs boys do computerised VR test but Habs girls doesn't mention about it.

Appreciate your replies

All of the North London girls schools abandoned VR three years ago.

They are now just English and Maths which makes it a lot easier to prepare for.

The format is the same as Latymer, HBS and DAO. DG

But not all the North London girls schools abandoned it. The girls consortium schools now only test VR and NVR with Maths but no writing and very little comprehension. It’s meant to discourage people from tutoring whether practising at home or with a private tutor and to make things less stressful. The reality is that as they are likely to do exams other than just the consortium, they have to practise everything and prepare for a few different types of exam, so even more pressure!

The Consortium have abandoned written English and Maths exams and moved to CEM which they stated would be online.

However they were forced to abandon that as some of schools did not have enough computer to run the exams online.

Last year was the first year of the CEM test. DG
