I am now preparing my DD for the 11+ exam and would like to know what is the format of Stage 2 as I am planning how to have my DD better prepare for it. Could anyone who can share the format for the recent attempt i.e. Nov2021 for my reference? I understand for Maths, it is long questions with focusing on the steps. For English, may I know whether it just a writing piece or also with the comprehension task as well?

Format changes every year so there is no set pattern. Its not possible to prepare for formats so only advise will be to focus on basics and read a variety of books. Be open for anything on the day and stay clear from a set format based preparation. To answer your query, both comprehension and writing task were included.

Second stage seems to always be comprehension & written task. It's the first stage that they vary quite a bit. However, as above, prepare for everything.
