What lacks in this discussion is some indicative data for the ‘mean’ and ‘standard deviation’. Anyone who is familiar with 11+ mock exams (that involves >100 students) will probably have a feel about these two parameters; it is then fairly straightforward to reverse calculate the cut-off raw percentage score from the standardised pass mark (334).
