What is the maximum mark for AGGS?
The AGSB is 423, as each subject`s score is given out of 141.
The CEM consortium of the 4 local grammar school just give one standardised score. For 2018 the scores varied by 25 points, where the range difference in previous years was no more than 10 points and in other years around 5 points.
I can understand that the cohort averages vary and the age standardisation for each school all have an effect on the final standardised score. BUT one would not expect such a great range difference of 25 points.
This then leads one to think that the maximum score could also be different. If this is the case, then a score of 320 out of 400 for one school would be different from a score of 300 out of 420 for another school.

Whatever a certain partially selective comprehensive school in north London may tell people, standardised scores are not 'out of' anything.
In the normal course of events, the raw scores of c.68% of candidates will fall in the range 85 - 115, with the overall range being c.69 - 141 and the standardised score relating to the mean raw score being 100.
The actual overall range of scores for any individual paper may vary a little from the standard 69 - 141.
