Does anyone know if the NVR paper this year (2016) was similar to 2015 or previous years? I'm trying to find out if the make up of the questions stays pretty mush the same or if the publishers make changes and, if so, how these are tested. Any ideas?

Dd did the 11 plus test last Sept 2016, she said it had 70 questions in 5 sections with a few practice questions at the start (of which you were told the answers to the practice ones). You had to do each section in the order that they came in i.e section 1, section 2 etc. Once the time had finished for each section, you were told to stop and turn your page over. You were not allowed to go back to any sections or questions , to make changes or if you had missed them out. It is roughly 30 secs to answer each question.

She had been doing GL assessment practice tests, bofa online and some bond and athey tests/books. Also old nfer past papers for vr/ and nvr tests. She said they were all similar in style and types to the tests she had been doing at home, with shape rotations, missing patterns, codes, spatial reasoning, 3d patterns , what shape comes next etc.She said that in the test she did their were no cube questions, much to dd relief as she hated them, but that's not to say that they won't appear in other years.

I think if you practice all of the different types of nvr questions then you should be OK. The tests won't be exactly the same as other years, but I would have thought would be very similar.

I had kids doing it the last two years, and understood them to be similar. Oldest kid did it a few years ago, and was similar then too, but not multiple choice as it is now.
