Hi, I know it doesn't make any difference, except perhaps psychologically, but is it correct that we are not able to be told how many other families are appealing for a particular school? Thanks.

I have no idea about this! I guess, if small numbers are involved there may be data protection issues in that people might be able to work out Who was appealing. Numbers also can change up to the last minute as allocations are still being made from the reserve list if places become available and some people may withdraw their appeal if they get a place somewhere else in the meantime.

Hi there - when I appealed, I emailed admissions and they told me how many appeals had been lodged for the school I was appealing against and how many of these were oversubscription and how many were non qualifiers, but this was 5yrs ago, so it may have changed!!
