Dartford in catchment cut off scores please..

I am planning to move to Dartford and my son has scored 370 marks and would like to know his chances of getting admission in Dartford boys grammar school

I am also looking for it. Anyone?

The address must be the pupil’s home address on the day the parent or guardian completed the application form, which is EITHER owned by the child’s parent, parents or guardian OR leased to or rented by the child’s parent, parents or guardian under a lease or written rental agreement

It looks like moving into area now won't change the category under which your application is considered for national offer day.

I would check with the LA who are responsible for applications prior to moving.

In Kent you can change your address after applying, but the deadline is sometime in December. Contact the local authority to get the exact date. You would have to make a formal change of address as you would have submitted your CAF with your current address.

These are the past in area scores needed as at 1st March. They may have gone down later on.

Sorry for jumping in. There was a big jump in scores between 2015 and 2016. Wonder if that will be repeated for this upcoming intake seeing as so many boys performed quite well this time around.

Yes true. Initially I was thinking there would be chance for my son who scored 390 , but now I think he may not able to get dartford grammar as I believe the cutoff score may go above 390.

Don’t worry. These dates are as at 1st March. So, they would have gone down by September. You can email Dr Kingham and ask if she thinks your son would have a chance. She’ll respond that in previous years he would have, but you already know that. I doubt you’ll get by how many points the scores went down, as I believe no-one gets that answer!
I’m sure you’ll be fine with that score. There’s a lot of movement after allocation date. What’s your second choice?

I think the Kent scoring system changed sometime in the last few years, which might explain the jump in scores.

The scoring system did change but I think it resulted in overall scores being lower rather than higher.

Re movement after offer day, in 2018 there was very little movement scorewise for OOC (it went down one point but not to all on that one point lower score) but in county is different I believe. Birenpat, are you in area or out with 390?
