Yes, the exam changed for the 2015 intake. They introduced the English end visual spatial exams. The scores changed as there were less top scorers.
We find out in this forum for OOC scores if they go down, but somehow we don’t for in area scores. So, that’s a mystery!
Birenpat has said before they are in area, so they should be fine.

For within dartford area, here is the cut off score,

2015 320
2016 351
2017 352
2018 358
2019 369

You see every year there is an increase and this worries me. Looking at the label of increase of score every year, it looks like this year it could go up to 390+ and for ooc it could go 410+.

I don't understand how the jump of 31 scores be justified between 2015 and 2016 ?

Justified? The school doesn’t impose those scores. The children apply and those with the highest scores get offered first until they go down the list and fill the 90 spaces for in area and the other out of area 90 places.

Not sure if this was asked already but do in county and OOC candidates get the same 11+ Kent test or is it different ? I'm aware they were on different days but was the test different as well ?

A 320 threshold looks as though most people who passed and applied got a place. 351 is c 30 marks above pass mark, so there was more competition. With 390, your son has scored 60 marks above even the elevated 330 pass mark, so as an in-area candidate I would think he has a great chance. Nothing really to do about it now but try and forget about it till March - easier said than done, I know.

Sorry, accidentally sent the above to you as a private message too, didn't mean to!
