If you haven’t already joined Classlist please do. Only 7 new starters have joined so far

I know right? I wonder if parents are doing their own private chat groups. Personally I think Classlist is a great idea, saves faffing around other social media platforms.

Uniform bits have all been assembled now, we managed to get some bits from the 2nd hand shop. DD has already made a few friends from her class. It’s all very exciting and we’re raring to start!

Just curious as to how the classes are 'named' - 160 PAN but H is the 8th letter of the alphabet (20 being a very small class for a secondary school)? Or is it something to do with houses, or initials of the school name?

There are 5 classes. The letters go towards the spelling of the town in which the school is located, ie no Class A, B or D :)

Be warned that they may do a shuffle at the end of year 8. For the past 2 years due to the behaviour of the lower school students they've mixed the form groups up to start year 9, class lists aren't released until the week they go back after summer.

They told us on the parents meeting that forms will be changed for year 9.

Not sure how to take that, only that it seems rather ominous! :D
