SWBGS 1.739 miles IC
RGS 3.589 IC
April:

Hi, I live in Berkshire but last week I lived in Bucks and this evening we are moving to North London. Can I take the average distance of my 3 rental properties and subtract that from each other and get places at 6 grammar schools?
I'm very flexible with house moves and my child scored 700.
Thanks

Look Deb - stop this, I know I saw you moving into a house in Ripon last weekend and now you tell me you are in North London. Tut.

The information is on this page.

You can also find information about the distances that the schools allocated to last year. I know that you wouldn't have got SWBGS from Maidenhead for the last 5 years (there is another thread on here abou that if you look further down in this section)

Thanks

Did you not have good alternatives where you lived in Reading as back up rather than up sticks to an area and still not be likely to get a Bucks school by the looks of it. I know some Reading schools aren’t great but depends on where you live.

What back up choice have you got on your CAF if you don’t get any of the GSs you have put down? Is it one you would be happy with if you don’t get any GS. Are you reasonably sure that’s what you would get allocated that if you don’t get allocated a GS on your list?

As others have said SWBS has a very small allocation distance, and it would very unlikely you would get that. It’s probably not worth wasting a CAF slot for it tbh.

I believe your DC also took the Sutton exams?

What is the situation with those schools?

Are you in catchment for SWBGS?

Borlase and RGS are VERY different schools! What did you think when you visited them?

It hasn't changed, surely - they're still none of them anywhere someone would deliberately move to Maidenhead for.
