But the foundation office does not oversee the Sutton schools and the schools are not overseen by a single body. Any change could also now not come into effect before 2022 intake. I'd be interested to see any correspondence or indication of firm decisions though.

Moooch you are right. These are from 1st March. On previous years there seems to have been a lot more information provided by parents as to how far down the waiting list goes. Waiting lists used to go down about 50 places however I have no idea how this changed last year.

I know from a few friends;

About 3 weeks after offers day 214 out of catchment was offered handsworth. And two days later was offered sutton. She declined and went to handsworth but her distance from the school is further than that stated on the offers day post mentioned above.

So seems that sutton has someone lower than the 217 they state here and handsworth has a further 214 than stated on this too

Consultations open next Monday 30th Nov so then we'll know.

Do we know the lowest score offered a place at CHB in 2020?

Hi Dan4G. In 2020 CHB weren’t initially able to offer places to all the boys who had achieved the priority score. I would make an educated guess that if all the priority scoring in catchment children were eventually offered places then places would be offered to the highest scoring out of catchment boys. So the lowest score for a cat 5 place may well have been quite high!

You could email the King Edward foundation to see if they are willing to share this information?
