I agree that a journey from Burton to Handsworth is not conducive to effective study. Just for info, we live in the Erdington area and our sons are up at 06:30 to get a bus into B’ham and another one out to Handsworth. School finishes at 15:05 (which is earlier than the girls) and they are home around 16:15 dependent on which bus they manage to catch. For us / them this is a long enough day as they then have homework / clubs etc. There was a boy in DS1’s year who lived in Lichfield but only lasted a couple of terms as the journey was too much.
Even Burton to Sutton is a long journey which I would personally reconsider.

My daughter’s waiting list number is now 18 .. Fingers Crossed !

It's great the waiting list is moving although it still has a way to go for your daughter but it's going in the right direction!
Did you manage to sort out the transport problems for Handsworth? Not long now until they go back so I hope you have found a suitable solution for your daughter.

We will be moving to Sutton . Geeen line bus service is available to Handsworth Grammar school . Also convenient for us to drive to work ! .. I am still hoping and will be waiting to see if she can get through Sutton school ..! Do you know any one going from Sutton to Handsworth? Please let me know
